The short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no targeted advertising and sells no data. Here are the details, in plain language.
Who we are
Villas Origen is operated by Cana Immobilier Inc., a family business based in Quebec, Canada. The person responsible for the protection of personal information is the management of Cana Immobilier Inc. For any question: info@villasorigen.com.
What we collect
- When you write to us. The “Check availability” form sends nothing to our site: it prepares a message that you send yourself through WhatsApp. We then receive what you choose to write (first name, dates, number of guests, question) and your WhatsApp number. The same applies if you email us.
- When you book directly. The information needed for the booking and payment: name, contact details, dates and number of guests.
- Visit statistics. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights tell us which pages are read and whether the site is fast: page views, country, device and browser type, referring page. These tools use no cookies, do not follow you from site to site and do not tell us who you are.
- No cookies. This site sets no cookies and uses no advertising or tracking tools. That is why it shows no consent banner.
Why we use it
To answer your questions, organize your stay and improve the site, nothing else. If your stay includes an airport transfer or a welcome at the villa, we share with our partner driver and our local team only what they need (name, arrival time, flight number). We never sell, rent or trade your information.
The services we use
- Vercel hosts the site and produces the visit statistics described above.
- Esri provides the satellite images of the map on the home page. Its servers receive your IP address when the map loads, as with any website you visit.
- WhatsApp (Meta): if you write to us on WhatsApp, its own privacy policy applies to the conversation.
- Wise: payments for direct bookings go through Wise, under its own privacy policy. We receive the payment confirmation (name, amount, date), never your card number.
- Airbnb and Vrbo: if you book on these platforms, their own policies apply.
Our fonts and the map library are hosted on our own site: no data is sent to Google to display them. Some of our providers are located outside Quebec, notably in the United States, so your information may be processed there.
How long we keep it
Your messages, for as long as needed to answer you and organize your stay. Booking and payment information, for the period required by our accounting and tax obligations. Visit statistics are aggregated and cannot identify you.
Your rights
You may at any time ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your consent: write to info@villasorigen.com. We reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec. If you live in the European Union, you also have the rights provided by the GDPR, including the right to contact the data protection authority of your country.
If this policy changes
We will update this page if our practices change, for example if we ever add a tool that requires your consent. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
