Where is the villa located?
On the first bay of Cosón, in Las Terrenas (Samaná peninsula, Dominican Republic), a five-minute walk from Playa Cosón and a five-minute drive from the village.
How many guests can the villa host?
Up to 8 guests, including 6 adults at most. The three air-conditioned bedrooms sleep 6 (the main suite with a king bed and two bedrooms with queen beds). In the living room, the extra-large sofa, with its ottoman and a mattress topper, makes an extra sleeping spot: comfortable for two children, a little snug for two adults. How far is the beach?
Playa Cosón is about a five-minute walk from the villa.
When can I book?
The villa is brand new: it welcomes its first guests from February 2027.
Are there power outages? Is the Wi-Fi reliable?
No outages: solar panels, a battery and an inverter provide around 24 hours of autonomy. The Wi-Fi exceeds 120 Mbps — to work or to forget about it entirely.

How much does an airport transfer cost?
The nearest airport is El Catey (AZS), about a 25-minute drive away. In 2026, a private transfer costs US$85 one way for 1 to 5 people and US$115 for 6 to 8, with our partner HugXander. From Santo Domingo (SDQ), expect US$190 one way.
Do I need to rent a car in Las Terrenas?
Yes, we recommend it. The villa is in Cosón: the beach is a 5-minute walk away, but the grocery store and the centre of Las Terrenas are a 5-minute drive. A vehicle — car, quad or scooter — makes daily life much easier, and becomes essential for exploring the peninsula: Playa Rincón, the El Limón waterfall, the coffee route. Renting a quad for the day is very popular in Las Terrenas. Otherwise, local taxis serve the area.
Is Las Terrenas safe?
Yes, in our experience: it is one of the places in the Caribbean where we have felt safest. Over more than a month on site as a family, walking in town at night and leaving our things on the beach while swimming, we have never had a moment of worry. How many bathrooms are there?
Each bedroom has its own private bathroom with a shower — three in total — plus a powder room with a toilet for guests. Bedroom 2 also has its own private outdoor shower in the garden.
Is the neighbourhood still developing?
Yes. We'd rather you know before booking: Cosón is a fast-growing area, and new construction is under way nearby, including across the street. Work takes place on weekdays during the day and on Saturday mornings; late afternoons, nights, Saturday afternoons and Sundays stay peaceful. The villa's garden is fully enclosed: a solid wall, lined with greenery, separates it from the street and the neighbouring lot, and keeps the pool and terraces private. A question about your dates?
